XPEL Expands Partnership with Will Castro’s Unique Academy to Empower the Next Generation of Auto Technicians

Published On July 17, 2025

At XPEL, we believe in the power of passion, purpose, and protection—on the road and in life. That’s why we were proud to partner with celebrity car customizer and TV personality, Will Castro, on his new show, Unique Academy USA, an inspiring new Roku series premiering July 17.

Will Castro has built some of the most iconic rides in the business—crafting custom cars for stars like LeBron James, DJ Khaled and more. Now, he’s bringing that same legendary skill and heart to the classroom. In Unique Academy USA, Castro mentors a new generation of automotive enthusiasts, guiding them through hands-on experience in applying window film, ceramic coating and paint protection film, along with providing significant business and leadership training

“This isn’t just about teaching kids to work on cars - it’s about giving them pride, purpose, and opportunity,” says Castro. “This isn’t the same kind of show as I’ve done before. It’s about giving back and helping the next generation find their path.”

XPEL proudly partnered with Castro on this NYC-based mentorship program, designed to fast-track the next generation of auto technicians. With over 35,000 technician positions currently unfilled, this effort comes at a critical time. XPEL provided funding for the program, the window film, paint protection film and ceramic coating products used in class, as well as guest instructors to help with the training. The program is designed to help students discover new career paths.

Each of the six 30-minute episodes follows students working hands-on in Castro’s shop, mentored by industry leaders and celebrities including Victor Cruz, Adrienne Bailon Houghton and Tony Yayo. It’s not just about cool cars—it’s about confidence, community and career-building.

We’re also excited to share that XPEL will continue this impactful partnership by sponsoring Season 2, which begins production in September.

Catch the premiere of Season 1 on Roku starting July 17—and see how mentorship, hustle, and a little XPEL protection can transform more than just a vehicle.
