Land Rover Unveils the All-New Sleeker 2022 Range Rover with Minimalist Luxury and 523-HP

Land Rover debuted the fifth generation of the Range Rover in late October. This 2022 Range Rover is built on a new longer wheelbase platform, with more engine options and contemporary interior design focused on minimalist luxury. The exterior design on the new 2022 Range Rover has been redefined for an even sleeker appearance than the outgoing model. Land Rover states that this new exterior design is up to 12 percent more aerodynamic and made from three-quarters aluminum. In addition, it features retractable door handles and two-tone paint options.

The interior of the 2022 Range Rover has been completely redesigned. Land Rover stated that car interiors should be kept simple and elegant. As a result, the new Range Rover has an uncluttered dash with only a 13.1-inch curved touchscreen and a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster. Cow-free materials are available as an option, and the leather is tanned with more environmentally friendly methods. New interior options include an entertainment package for the rear seats consisting of 11.4-inch digital screens with available noise cancellation impeded into the headrests. Seating configurations range from four, five to up to seven passengers in the long-wheelbase variant.

New standard features on the 2022 Range Rover includes fully independent suspension with adjustable air springs. In addition, all Range Rovers will have four-wheel-steering for better control and stability at any speed. This system allows the rear wheels to turn in the opposite direction of the front wheels for improved maneuverability. The classic Range Rover V8 engine is also new. It is now a 4.4-liter V8 sourced from BMW, producing a healthy 523-hp and 553 lb.-ft of torque. The base model will feature a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for a combined output of 395-hp and 406 lb.-ft of torque. However, the big news is the announcement of a fully electric Range Rover set to be available by 2024.

The 2022 Range Rover is set to arrive in dealers early next year. XPEL will also be ready to offer Paint Protection Film services with exact measurements for the new Range Rover. XPEL PPF is an ideal solution for protecting Land Rover Range Rover exterior paint. The transparent film is virtually unnoticeable and offers industry-leading protection against potential paint damage.
