Bugatti Unveils a New Faster, More Comfortable Variant of the Chiron Called the Super Sport

Bugatti's newest addition to its product lineup is the Chiron Super Sport. This variant carries the same power as the record-breaking 300+ mph variant without the responsibility of needing to prove it. Bugatti did this to improve the luxury of the Chiron Super Sport by not having to stress the machine to reach 300 mph. However, the Chiron Super Sport offers the same 1,578-horsepower and 1,180 lb.-ft of torque as the 304 mph Chiron 300+ but is electronically limited to 273 mph.
  

As a result, the new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport offers the luxury of 300 mph bragging rights while cruising at a more relaxed speed of 273 mph. According to Bugatti, the Chiron Super Sport focuses on real-world speeds to be the ultimate GT car – a Concorde supersonic jet for the road. The Chiron Super Sport will hit 186 mph in 12.1 seconds while transporting its passengers in total comfort. Modern electric hyper cars on the market can match and even beat the Super Sport's stats, but an 8.0-liter W16 engine tends to make a better sound than an electric motor.

The Chiron Super Sport's styling, like the 300+, took inspiration from an iconic descendant, the Bugatti EB 110. Evidence of this can be seen in the Super Sport's circular vents on its front fenders and twin exhaust pipes. Its Y-spoke aluminum wheels are exclusive to the Super Sport. These wheels can also be optioned in diamond-cut. One can even choose to equip the magnesium wheels from the Chiron Pur Sport model. The Chiron's speed is nothing without its tires. The car's Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber can handle speeds up to 310 mph. Bugatti stated that each tire is X-rayed after production to scan to ensure perfect quality. Bugatti announced that they would only be building 60 examples of the Chiron Super Sport, and each one of these super land yachts is fetching a near four-million-dollar price tag.
