Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition is a Luxury SUV Infused with Cooper from a Whiskey Still

One usually thinks of a shaken martini when they hear the name, Aston Martin. However, when one thinks of sophistication, success, leisure, and celebrating a productive day, you don’t think martini – you think whisky. With that, it’s no wonder one of Scotland’s oldest and more acclaimed distilleries, Bowmore , has partnered with Aston Martin to collaborate on several limited-edition products. The latest example is the Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition.
  

This high-performance luxury SUV is designed to house what both brands represent – a premium experience. Only 18 examples of the DBX Bowmore Edition are being built, making them as exclusive as a Black Bowmore 50-year-old single malt whisky bottle. Those who ordered a Bowmore Edition Aston Martin DBX will take delivery during a private lifestyle experience touring Bowmore’s Islay in Scotland, where they have been crafting whisky since 1779. 

The special edition DBX is a creation from Aston Martin’s bespoke design department, appropriately named Q. The Bowmore Edition is available in two exterior colors, Bowmore Blue and Xenon Grey, with subtle copper accents taken from an original Bowmore whisky still and contrasting black brake calipers behind its 22-inch alloy wheels. Powering the Aston Martin DBX Bowmore is the standard 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 542 hp and 516 lb-ft or torque, capable of reaching zero to 60 in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 181 mph.

The Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition offers two leather interior color options featuring polished copper cup holders. The sill plaques displayed when you open the door are made from recycled copper from a Bowmore whisky still. The gloss black center console is detailed with hand-laid copper foil. Q by Aston Martin also includes a Bowmore tweed picnic blanket and leather hold-all with the vehicle. 

An SUV with real copper accents and six figures worth of luxury leather interior should always look like it just rolled out of Q by Aston Martin’s design studio.
