XPEL PAINT PRODUCTS PROTECT WORLD LAND SPEED RECORD-SETTING CAR
- Honda Racing Formula One Team - - 246.9 Miles Per Hour Two-Way Average (397.3 kph) - - Three New World Records Set on Bonneville Salt Flats -SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, July 31, 2006...XPEL Technologies Corp. (TSXV: DAP.U) announced today that its Paint Products protected Honda Racing Team's recent world land speed record-breaking run in a Formula One car at the Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah during the week of July 17, 2006. John Digby, Honda's Formula One Team Manager for the event, stated, "The performance of the XPEL product was quite impressive. There were no worries about the installation, as each piece was computer-cut for an exact fit, and the protection was incredible. Through more than six days of running at high speeds on the salt flats, our car sustained absolutely no damage. We simply cleaned off the salt and started another top-speed run, knowing that the carbon fiber body and various suspension parts were completely protected." XPEL Vice President Paul Costas (in photograph below), further added, "With support from our U.K.-based distributor Paintshield Ltd., the vehicle's frontal areas were completely covered with XPEL Paint Protection kits before Honda attempted the record. After nearly a week of the car running in the harshest of environments at very high speeds, not a single component of the kits needed replacing. The vehicle's paint and signage were completely intact and totally unharmed."
