Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Summary

XPEL is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing team. You would be responsible for validating the quality and functionality of software releases for multiple software products and configurations. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will create test plans, execute test plans, and work with stakeholders to ensure testing is complete before production releases. Will also be responsible for automating test plans as feasible. This position requires excellent communication and analytical skills. We are looking for someone that can methodically and accurately go through manual testing while still thinking outside the box. This position is based at XPEL’s Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners to validate feature descriptions and acceptance criteria
  • Work with product owners and software developers to ensure clear understanding of specifications
  • Apply positive, negative, bounds, load, regression, and other types of quality testing to ensure solid deliverables
  • Perform exploratory testing
  • Communicate clearly with developers to identify and solve issues
  • Document Test Plans and Runs using Azure DevOps
  • Move Test Plans toward automated testing as possible
  • Make recommendations on performance and ease of use
  • Work with the SCRUM or SDLC processes as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to find better, more efficient ways of doing things
  • Solve challenging business and technical problems

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 2 years software quality assurance and system test experience
  • Working knowledge of database tools and writing SQL queries
  • Minimum 2 years with a formal SDLC or Scrum process
  • Basic programming skills with .NET (VB or C#)
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOps a plus
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or CodedUI
