XPEL, Inc. (NASDAQ: XPEL), a leading supplier of automotive paint protection films, window films, ceramic coatings and commercial/residential flat glass film, is currently seeking a Quality Engineer inits San Antonio, TX corporate headquarters.   

Summary We are seeking a QA Engineer to support production operations and drive continuous improvement activities in XPEL’s manufacturing & supply chains. 

Core Duties

·         Technical resource for on-going production activities: establishing & improving production quality specifications, production support, and documentation & analysis of production KPIs.

·         Leads quality improvement, yield improvement & corrective action projects with internal and external stakeholders.

·         Collaborate with research and development teams as technologies transition to pilot & scale-up environments to ensure a successful commercialization.

Job Requirements

·         BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Materials Engineering preferred; in lieu of a degree, candidates with significant operational coatings or films experience are encouraged to apply.       

·         Ideal candidates will have polymer films or coatings experience with significant involvement in  process engineering, production operations and/or quality control environments. 

·         Familiarity with statistics & hypothesis-driven problem-solving methodologies; for example: Six Sigma, Lean, Agile, etc.

·         Desire to lead projects with cross-functional stakeholders.

·         Process-orientation with an attention to detail

·         Ability to travel 25-50%
