XPEL Paint Protection Film goes to the Autocross

For those of you unfamiliar with Autocross, it's a form of motor sports that offers low risk competition. Autocross has been around since the 1940's, enabling the average American who are passionate about cars, and speed, to compete on a low cost entry level. The courses are usually set up in a large parking lot, in this case it happened at the local horse racing track parking lot. The courses are marked with road cones that give the drivers direction to navigate through the course. The drivers do not race head to head, instead it's a competition to get the fastest time. Most courses run 40 to 90 seconds long and can reach speeds in excess of 75 mph.

Porsche Enthusiasm

Here at XPEL we don't just talk cars, we live cars, and we enjoy driving them. One of us in particular is an avid Porsche enthusiast, and multiple Porsche owner. East Coast Account Manager David Campbell never misses a chance to take his 911 to a PCA Autocross. If you're interested in a local Autocross reach out to your manufacturer's local club for possible upcoming events.

Porsche Protection

David's white 997 911 is protected with XPEL ULTIMATE paint protection film. XPEL San Antonio installed ULTIMATE on the full hood, front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors, and rear wheel impact areas. Since autocross events are usually held in parking lots that aren't always well maintained there are always two or three patches of gravel, dirt, or rocks the drivers have to navigate through or around. This can cause rocks to fly up and possibly scratch, or even chip the paint. Protecting the high impact areas of your vehicle are key. We have a database with over 87,000 patterns for all makes and models dating back to the late 1990's. We have a world wide dealer base ready to protect your car.
