Porsche Parade 2013 Traverse City, Michigan

58th Annual Porsche Parade During the Concours Awards banquet every year the MC asks everyone to stand up. Then, he calls out a number corresponding to the number of Parades you've been to, and if your number gets called you sit down. He starts at 1-5, then goes through 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 pretty quickly. As the number goes up, more people sit down. Until he got to 50, where there were 3 people left standing. 51, then 52 and someone sits down, at 53 another sits down leaving one man standing. Finally, he gets to 55 and the last man takes a seat. A huge applause echoed in the ballroom. Of the 58 Porsche Parades this man has only missed 3. It was our first time being at Porsche Parade and it was an absolute thrill being there through all of the events so I can only imagine all of the things that this man has seen through his years of Porsche Parading. Full Schedule This year the Porsche Club of America (PCA) went all out. There was a full onslaught of events to attend, everything from radio controlled car races, autocross, banquets, and parties. This year, we sponsored the "Ice Cream Social". An event where everyone could come out and walk their way through a buffet of ice cream with all the ingredients to make an amazing sundae while watching the RC racing, and seeing what XPEL had going on out front. During the event we gave away a headlight kit, and hood, fender, and mirror kit with installation on site. We had Detroit area installer Larry Millen from Paint Protection Plus installing the XPEL ULTIMATE film kits for us that we brought up from San Antonio, TX. Concours d' Elegance Concours was a great event with Porsche's from all parts of the country. There were four cars that placed high in their class that were protected by XPEL ULTIMATE full frontal kits. Three of which that won first. This gorgeous 911 Carrera S that was driven all the way from Sacramento, California won first in it's class and is protected by XPEL ULTIMATE film on the full front, rocker panels, rear spoiler, and rear wheel openings. With our ULTIMATE film you can protect your paint while maintaining that beautiful factory finish. Concours approved. Here is our full coverage of the event with video. We will see everyone out next year in Monterey, California. XPEL Ultimate Self-healing Clear Bra XPEL ULTIMATE leads the industry with it's clarity, durability, gloss retention and more. We stand behind our product 100%, so much so that ULTIMATE has a 10-year warranty covering defects such as yellowing, cracking, staining, blistering and/or delaminating. Protecting your car has many benefits. It will help maintain your car’s factory finish, make your car easier to clean, help the resale value of your vehicle, all while it is being protected from every day driving. Demonstration of our XPEL ULTIMATE self-healing properties Our XPEL ULTIMATE film self-heals from light scratches, swirl marks and rock chips while driving or maintaining your vehicle. During the show we use a Brass wire brush to simulate the every day occurrences that can affect the film. With the sun on the display the scratches from the brush instantly disappear. When the sun is not available, you can accelerate the healing process with a cup of warm water or a heat source. Not all Patterns are created equal At XPEL we pride ourselves on our pre-cut pattern software. By using a pre-cut pattern you’ll have less to worry about, since the installer will not be trimming the film on your vehicle. Using a pre-cut pattern the film will naturally fit without excessive stretching or contortion, which means the finished product not only lines up perfectly but is free of defects which could be visible once the install is finished. Contrary to what some may believe it’s possible to wrap edges using a computer cut pattern which gives you a much better protection and installation. With XPEL Technologies Corp., all patterns are available with precision cut wrapped edges where possible. Where a wrapped edge is not possible, for example around the parking sensors on a bumper, reverse cameras and more, the film is always machine cut with precision. You can pick and choose your coverage options. Door handle inserts, also known as door cups.
