SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, September 27, 2006…XPEL Technologies Corp. (TSXV: DAP.U) announced today that for the eight months ended August 2006, application downloads from its electronic database of automotive paint, headlight and window tint kits grew by 58% over the same period in 2005. The number of kits produced by XPEL and its dealer base reached 125,591 during this period, exceeding download production for the same period in 2005 by 46,107 kits. Additionally, for the month of August 2006, the Company’s Design Access Program (“DAP”) revenue set a new corporate record for the fourth consecutive month.

W. Rege Brunner, Chairman and CEO, commented, “Our DAP revenue stream is one of four the Company generates, and it is the most exciting one due to its margin-rich nature. As I have previously stated, what makes the XPEL model so dynamic is that we can expand the DAP revenue without necessarily growing related expenses. Up from approximately 30% last year, the DAP now accounts for approximately 50% of our total revenue base, and the changing mix of revenues is a very positive trend.”
