XPEL Ultimate Self-healing Clear Bra
XPEL ULTIMATE leads the industry with it’s clarity, durability, gloss retention and more. We stand behind our product 100%, so much so that ULTIMATE has a 10-year warranty covering defects such as yellowing, cracking, staining, blistering and/or delaminating.
Protecting your car has many benefits. It will help maintain your car’s factory finish, make your car easier to clean, help the resale value of your vehicle, all while it is being protected from every day driving.
Demonstration of our XPEL ULTIMATE self-healing properties
Our XPEL ULTIMATE film self-heals from light scratches, swirl marks and rock chips while driving or maintaining your vehicle. During the show we use a Brass wire brush to simulate the every day occurrences that can affect the film. With the sun on the display the scratches from the brush instantly disappear. When the sun is not available, you can accelerate the healing process with a cup of warm water or a heat source.
Not all Patterns are created equal
At XPEL we pride ourselves on our pre-cut pattern software. By using a pre-cut pattern you’ll have less to worry about, since the installer will not be trimming the film on your vehicle. Using a pre-cut pattern the film will naturally fit without excessive stretching or contortion, which means the finished product not only lines up perfectly but is free of defects which could be visible once the install is finished.
Contrary to what some may believe it’s possible to wrap edges using a computer cut pattern which gives you a much better protection and installation. With XPEL Technologies Corp., all patterns are available with precision cut wrapped edges where possible. Where a wrapped edge is not possible, for example around the parking sensors on a bumper, reverse cameras and more, the film is always machine cut with precision.
You can pick and choose your coverage options.
15 months ago, the guys at JeepLab covered their black Rubicon from bumper to bumper with XPEL Ultimate self-healing paint protection film. And since then, they have been throwing whatever they can at it to test it’s durability. From backwoods off-roading, running through brush, dirty, heavy mud, they drove through it all. XPEL has held up. Here’s the install thread. JeepLab and XPEL Ultimate.
So this year for Easter they drove 30 hours to Utah, for the Moab Easter Jeep Safari. The event is so big, that even the state of Utah lists the event on their website.
“The annual Easter Jeep Safari is America’s largest and best-known event promoting recreational four wheeling. It is held in Moab, Utah, and runs for nine days. It takes place the week before and including Easter Sunday. The actual dates of the Safari vary from year to year, since Easter may fall on a different Sunday every year.” Utah.com
They go on to say that they attract over 1,000 off road ready vehicles. What an incredible event!
Ross from JeepLap gave us a recap after the event of how the film held up. This is what his email said.
Here we are 15 months after installation and the XPEL wrap is still saving my bacon!
We were in Moab for easter Jeep Safari and were on a trail ride with Rock Krawler on monday. (after having driven 30 hours to get there.)
We were with about 50 Jeeps on the trail ride, and were the ROOKIES of the bunch. We also had the smallest tires and lift in the group. To cut to the chase, the obstacles in Moab are far apart on the trail, so there are long stretches of dirt road between obstacles. On one of these stretches, there was a high banking turn. So high i was concerned about rolling the truck if I took it on the high side. The inside had trees growing into it, and being that they were cut at some point for the trail, they had jagged edges sticking out. Knowing the high side was too steep, We had to grit our teeth and take the low side, tipping our truck directly into the branches and stumps. There was no way to avoid them. The sound they made scratching the body as we went by was enough to bring tears to my eyes. Everyone in the truck discussed how severe the damage would be when we got out. Some predicted that the wrap would be gouged, others thought it would be all together ripped off.
When I could stop and look, the wrap was severely scratched. I thought to myself, the wrap may be ruined, but the body and paint underneath should be ok….. or so I hoped. As we met the other trucks at the next obstacle, my passengers began to talk to the other jeepers about how I bashed my truck into the trees so all would have a good joke at my expense. I on the other hand went to inspect the scratches more thoroughly. it was hot and the sun was beating down. I licked my thumb and began to rub a deep section of the worst scratch. I couldn’t believe when it disappeared. I don’t know if it was the friction of my thumb that made it hot, but whatever. It came off. I called my friends over knowing they wouldn’t believe it. seconds later, my 2 friends and 10 strangers were all licking their thumbs and rubbing the jeep. It was a hysterical sight. But when the pack dispersed, the truck was once again scratch free.
I blew up a shot that I had taken after the truck was scratched, and you can kinda see the scratches in the passenger side rear quarter.
A pic cropped from wheeling the next day where you can see the passenger rear quarter again. No scratches.
We want to thank JeepLab again for the amazing testimonial. It’s people like you that give us real world results. If they can send a Jeep through the hazards of Moab, while completely protecting their paint and look of the car, then there’s no reason it won’t save your bacon.
